What is Gnosis?

Gnosis is a decentralized autonomous organization building decentralized infrastructure for the Ethereum ecosystem. Founded in 2015, it began to decentralize progressively in 2021. GnosisDAO treasury governs over 150k ETH and 8 million tokens of GNO vested over 8 years.

In 2021, GnosisDAO combined forces with xDai to develop the Gnosis Chain, an Ethereum forerunner-companion that addresses scaling issues through solid engineering. This chain includes the tokens of xDai, Gnosis-native stablecoins, and GNO, Ethereum tokens for stacking and protocol protection community governance.

So far, the Gnosis ecosystem has multiple products: Gnosis Safe, Cow Protocol, Gnosis Auction, and Zodiac.
